John White
John’s earliest memory of his art is drawing cars and trucks, war scenes, airplanes, and the like. These early drawings would be the seed of a multifaceted portfolio that blends fine art, technical mastery, architectural precision, and imaginative illustration.
Five years of drafting classes through junior high and high school developed his mastery of technical skills. Upon graduation from college with a degree in advertising design and business administration, he quickly gained work and experience as a Designer/Illustrator for WBTV, a leading CBS affiliate. John then went on to cultivate expertise in the art of architectural, technical and advertising illustration at a firm in Raleigh, NC. He then moved back to Charlotte, North Carolina and opened his own illustration business. There he continued producing technical and architectural illustrations while also accepting commissions for advertising art and other illustration work -- magazines, historical illustrations, packaging, food illustrations, technical illustrations for catalogs, and so on.
John’s unique combination of artistic talent with a technical mindset has led to a successful. multifaceted art career of breadth and variety.
